An accomplished market research consultant, Sharon focuses on servicing the packaging and specialty chemical industries. Her 25+ years span all facets of the industry, from raw materials application (Dow Chemical), to converting of packaging (Amoco Foam Product now part of Pactiv), through end user (Burger King). A noted author of many technical articles and industry papers, Sharon earned the Food & Drug Packaging Achievement Award for foamed polystyrene barrier roll stock.

Sharon is a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) and an active member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE), Women in Packaging and the American Chemical Society. She is past president of the VA/Carolinas Chapter of IoPP and serves on the Consultants Council for IoPP. Sharon holds a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.B.A. with emphasis in Marketing from Central Michigan University.

Gordon is a well respected industry expert in PET packaging technology. He spent the initial part of his career with Continental Can in business development and technology licensing. As a consultant to the packaging industry since 1981, Gordon specializes in the strategic use of intellectual property as well as market, technology and economic analysis. Gordon has authored more than a dozen multi client reports on PET bottles and jars for food and beverage applications including analyses of alternative barrier enhancing technologies, analysis of aseptic vs hot fill processing for PET containers and the use of biopolymers for commodity packaging. Gordon graduated from John Hopkins University and received a MA from the School of Advanced International Studies and a LLB from Yale Law School.

Huston is a packaging market research and product development expert. In his 25+ year career, Huston has conducted over 300 market research studies in areas such as flexible packaging, case-ready meats, barrier shrink bags for meat and cheese, cut-and-stack labels, shrink films, polystyrene foam packaging, plastic sheet markets, plastic foam markets, ovenable and microwavable trays, foodservice disposables and hot-fill bottles. Prior to starting his firm, Huston was a market development manager for Amoco Foam Products (now part of Pactiv Corporation.) He led the development of barrier foam trays and was instrumental in its successful adoption for several fresh meat packaging applications. Huston has been a featured writer in Flexible Packaging, Snack Food, The National Provisioner, and other food and packaging publications.

Frank's background is mostly in the general, business, and strategic marketing management functions which are the focus of the majority of his work. He has strong functional skills in the areas of strategic analysis, research, strategy development, and competitive / market / product analysis. Prior to founding BDA, Frank had senior management positions at James River, Georgia-Pacific, Graphic Packaging, and Jacobs Engineering. Frank has an MBA from Fordham and a BA from Yale University and resides in Marietta, GA.
